Life has definitely changed in the past year. One year ago today we would have been watching the snow creep down the mountains. While others back home and in the Lower 48 would have been complaining about summer's official end, those up in AK would have been talking about the first snow fall, the days getting shorter and the temperatures dropping. The view from our living room window would have been something like this (minus the snow)...
1// Kitchen 2// Living room 3// A little AK comfort down the street 4// Our view: morning 5// Our view: noon 6// Our view: night 7// Our view: night 8// First dinner 9// Local farmer's market
Lastly, I can't forget to mention that Steve also stole the thunder this weekend. Word's out in AK that he has moved on, in the form of a very nice article in the newspaper. "Pure class." Tear.
Happy Monday friends!
That Farmer's market looks amazing! I haven't found a great one around here yet. What a pretty skyline!
ReplyDeleteBig changes in just a few months! It's a BIG difference in the view, isn't it?! Hope the settling in goes well!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who just moved to Alaska, and today he posted on Facebook about the first snowfall! Haha. Thought it was crazy how dead-on you were with that in this post. And your "new life" looks beautiful and exciting. Glad to have discovered your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour condo is gorgeous - congrats!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're getting settled in ok. It's definitely an adjustment in terms of landscape..poor poor Toronto!
So happy you commented on my blog through Sami's Shenanigans because I can't wait to now follow along- What an interesting story it seems you'll be able to share!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of that amazing farmers market! And such a nice article about your hubby leaving the Aces...many Alaskan's are very sad to see him go!
ReplyDeleteSnow, now, in AK?! That's awesome! I think I need to move there, or at least live there for a short period time. Hope the move went as smooth as possibly can be expected, and that you two are settling in well in your new home!
