10 things I've learned as a new mom:
one. When baby is hungry, she will go for anything nipple-shaped, including your husband's nose.
two. Coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner are best served cold.
three. Eau de baby spit up is the new perfume, and is oddly comforting.
four. "Nap when she naps" is easier said than done.
five. There is a cry for "hold me". I sometimes like to call it dramatic.
six. The pout gets you, every. single. time.
seven. Midnight feeds are like a scene from the Walking Dead, minus the blood and guts.
eight. It's appropriate to cry over spilt milk.
nine. Breast pumps are very satisfying.
ten. The birds start chirping at 3:55am.
